Pushbutton RF Attenuators Q&A

What impedance options are available?

These BNC pushbutton attenuators are available in both 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm configurations. The BM10040 through BM10043 models are 50 Ohm, while BM10044 and BM10045 are 75 Ohm.

What is the difference between 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm BNC pushbutton attenuators?

50 Ohm models are designed for compatible 50 Ohm RF systems, while 75 Ohm models are intended for compatible 75 Ohm systems. Select an attenuator with the impedance that matches your system and connected equipment.

What frequency ranges are available?

The 50 Ohm models operate from DC to 750 MHz, while the 75 Ohm models operate from DC to 500 MHz.

What attenuation ranges are available?

Available ranges include 0–45.5 dB, 0–65 dB, 0–82.5 dB, and 0–102 dB, depending on model.

Are 0.5 dB attenuation steps available?

Yes. BM10041 provides 0–45.5 dB in 0.5 dB steps, while BM10043 provides an extended 0–82.5 dB range in 0.5 dB steps.

What connectors are used?

All six models use BNC female connectors. The drawings specify nickel-plated brass BNC connector bodies and PTFE insulators.

What other RF attenuation products are available?

Bracke offers a broader selection of RF attenuators, including fixed, rotary, and high-power configurations for a variety of RF and microwave applications.
